about
Leon Söllner (*1995) was born in Franconia and started photographing early in his childhood with an uncle and a father both enthusiastic photographers. After working as a historic carpenter he travelled to Japan to photograph his first body of work.
He is currently studying at Ostkreuzschule in Berlin. As a carpenter he appreciates the analog work in the darkroom. In his work he concentrates on portraying people using photography as a medium to connect with them on a deeper level. In photography he found a way to combine his interest in people and his love for craftmanship.
